Last Christmas, you helped us keep Tyler’s families snug and warm when East Texas Refrigeration, The Salvation Army, and Habitat for Humanity of Smith County partnered for the “Giving the Gift of Warmth” project. Now, with the oppressive heat of an East Texas summer upon us, and with many in need of air conditioning repair, we’d like to help those in need stay cool in the upcoming months.
This year East Texas Refrigeration is teaming up with The Salvation Army for the Beat the Heat Fan Drive. Over 1,000 fans are requested for Tyler residents in need during the summer months. Our goal is to collect 100 new fans by June 21, 2013.
If you would like to participate, there are a number of ways to donate a new fan for our Beat the Heat Fan Drive. Donations will be accepted at the Lowe’s parking lot (5720 S. Broadway Ave.) in Tyler on June 21, 2013 from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. You can also drop off new fans every Monday through Friday (until June 21st) at East Texas Refrigeration on 4700 Old Troup Highway or The Salvation Army at 633 North Broadway Ave., Building 3 from 8:30 am to 4:30 p.m.
