Giving the gift of Warmth

It’s that time of year again…time for our annual Gift of Warmth project! In addition to our goal of collecting 200 new blankets for The Salvation Army this year, we at East Texas Refrigeration (ETR) are also donating and installing a central Heating and AC System into Habitat for Humanity of Smith County’s 100th Home! East Texas Refrigeration will match every donation made by an ETR customer to the Gift of Warmth project, and every $15 donated buys one new blanket for a community member in need. Click below to make a donation and don’t forget to write-in “ETR Gift of Warmth Tyler” in the Specific Use section of the donation page.

“Last year we received such an overwhelming amount of support from our customers and friends” said Todd Green, owner of East Texas Refrigeration. “Our goal was to collect 100 new blankets for The Salvation Army and we ended up doubling this amount.”

Every year between the months of November and February, The Salvation Army issues around 2,000 blankets to those in need here in Tyler. ETR and The Salvation Army are asking the Tyler community to come together this Christmas season and help collect 200 new blankets by December 18, 2013 for those in need of the gift of warmth.New blankets can be dropped off at East Texas Refrigeration (ETR) Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. or The Salvation Army of Tyler, Monday through Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Remember to tell The Salvation Army that your blanket is for ETR’s Gift of Warmth project!
